Our congregation of people living in Metchosin, Westshore and other areas of the Capital Regional District invites everyone to a potluck Christmas supper on Thursday evening, December 14th. Children will be there, and the more the merrier! There are always vegetarian dishes, and we will have turkey and ham for carnivores. The doors open at 5:15, and the meal begins at 6:00, all Metchosin local time.
To help the organizers, please let the office know if you are coming, and how many. You can leave a voicemail at 250-474-4119 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
If you are able to make a Christmas donation, the collection will be sent to support the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza, which is managed by the Anglican Diocese of Jerusalem, and open to all people of Gaza. There is tremendous need there now. More details are at https://pwrdf.org/needs-mount-at-gaza-hospital-as-conflict-continues/
Why this picture of snowdrops for a Christmas supper? It was taken Christmas morning - the snowdrops poked through the frost and light snow during the pandemic, a reminder that life and love are resilient.
Why this picture of the manager for a Christmas supper? When we want to celebrate, is there any better way than sharing a meal?
