Lynn Mills is a member of the neo-monastic Emmaus Community in Victoria. She is a graduate of the Master of Arts in Theological Studies program at the Vancouver School of Theology and has completed a PhD at Trinity College Dublin, where she researched cleansing by water and spirit in the Dead Sea Scrolls and New Testament. Additionally, Lynn has completed a Diploma in Denominational Studies (Anglican) at VST.
Lynn’s vocation is to a dual role of priest and professor. Lynn is an adjunct professor at the Vancouver School of Theology where she teaches an Introduction to Biblical Languages & Bible Software, Trauma in the Psalms, and occasionally Introduction to the Hebrew Bible: Prophets and Writings. Additionally, Lynn has, and is available to teach in parishes.
In a priestly role, Lynn is called to offer respite for priests, whether on vacation, sabbatical, or a much-needed Sunday off. Currently Lynn is serving as priest in St. Mary’s, Metchosin two Sundays a month, and will serve as respite clergy other Sundays as needed in the parishes of our diocese.
